Your Eye
Exam
You will
be seen by Dr. Senft, thereby assuring you complete and undivided
attention to your unique problem. To facilitate the process, please bring
any glasses or contact lenses you may have and a list of your current
personal physicians and medications.
After your visit, a letter will be sent to your family doctor or to your
referring physician or optometrist in order to ensure that other doctors
understand how your eyes are doing. This communication contributes to a
quality health care experience.
Surgical Services
Most
eye surgeries are outpatient procedures performed at North Hawaii
Community or Kona Community Hospitals. Cataract surgery with artificial
lens implantation is currently done using an ultrasound system, which
dissolves the cataract without the need for a major invasive operation or
stitches or injections.
Insurance and Fees
We
accept most insurance plans. As an added service we process claims for
patients. If you have any specific needs, questions or concerns please
call our office.
Educational & Outreach Services
Dr. Senft offers a visual education program for interested community
organizations, thereby contributing to a better understanding of eye
conditions, treatment, and prevention. Feel free to call the office to
schedule an appointment.
Furthermore, realizing that the physically challenged and homebound
patients have limited access to care, Dr. Senft offers complete mobile
examinations with specialized portable instruments at
facilities for those patients requiring such services.
The offices are designed for easy wheelchair access. Examination rooms do
not require transferal.
A full service on-site optical shop rounds out the services of the
practice.
